Caring for your Jewelry
All Coquette fine jewelry is 18k gold plated over stainless steel. Steel is the ideal metal for jewelry because it will never tarnish, turn color, rust, or fade because of the layer of chromium within. Every piece is Nickel Free & Lead Free. Our earring posts are made with surgical steel for sensitive ears.
From proper storage to gentle cleaning, taking good care of your jewelry can help you get the most out of your new accessories.
ALWAYS:
- Apply lotion, cosmetics, perfume, and hairspray before dressing in Coquette jewelry. Let the application fully dry before accessorizing.
- Store them individually in your Coquette jewelry pouch that you received with your new jewelry to prevent damages and keep individually wrapped when storing in jewelry cases.
- When undressing, gently wipe each piece with a clean soft cloth to remove oils and perspiration.
Waterproof & Tarnish-proof:
- While being waterproof & tarnish proof, to maintain the brilliance and shine of your new piece, avoid exposing your jewelry to household cleaning products, chemicals, essential oils, cosmetics, lotion, etc.
- It is best practice to avoid chlorinated pools, salt water & hot tubs if you are really looking to care for your pieces. Of course, Coquette jewelry will not be ruined if you do expose your pieces to these elements, but chlorine, salt and heat are powerful agents, and we want our customers to get the utmost longevity from each piece!
